
Since 1990, Countryside BBQ has been serving up heaping plates of fresh-chopped barbecue, hand-battered chicken tenders, and fresh vegetables — always paired with genuine Southern hospitality and small-town charm.
What began over three decades ago as a family dream quickly became a Marion tradition. Gary and Lanetta Byrd opened the doors with a simple mission: serve great food and treat every guest like family. That commitment laid the foundation for the community favorite Countryside is today.
In 2006, ownership transitioned to Marion locals Rob Noyes III and David Ditt. Under their leadership, Countryside has continued to grow — expanding menu offerings, strengthening community involvement, and building on the legacy that started it all.
